Marquee Exclusive (“Marquee,” “we,” “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through marqueebourbon.com (the “Site”), our newsletter and your messages to us, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you join our list we collect your first name, last name and email address. When you use the contact form we collect your name, email address, subject line and message.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, your browser shares standard technical details such as IP address, browser type, operating system, device type, the pages you view and the site that referred you. We use this to understand how the Site is used; see Cookies and analytics.
Age confirmation. The Site asks you to confirm you are of legal drinking age. Your answer is stored only in your own browser so you are not asked on every visit. It is not sent to us.
Purchases. Orders are placed through BottleNexus and fulfilled by licensed retailers in its network. Payment details, shipping details and age verification at checkout are collected by BottleNexus and the retailer, not by us, and are governed by their own privacy policies.
2. How we use your information
- To send release announcements and sales news you have signed up for.
- To answer your questions and route retail, press and media requests.
- To understand how the Site is used and improve it.
- To keep the Site secure and prevent misuse.
- To comply with the law, including rules on the marketing of alcohol.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers who run parts of the Site for us, such as website hosting, our email service and analytics, and only so they can provide those services.
- BottleNexus and its retail partners, when you choose to buy through the Site.
- Authorities, when the law requires it or to protect the rights and safety of Marquee, our customers or others.
- A successor, if the Marquee brand is sold or transferred, in which case this policy continues to apply to the information transferred.
4. Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics to see how visitors use the Site: pages viewed, how far people scroll, links clicked and files downloaded. Google Analytics sets cookies and receives your IP address and browser details. We do not use it for advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on.
The BottleNexus cart script loads on every page so the cart works and orders can be tracked. The Site’s typefaces load from Adobe Fonts and Google Fonts, which receive your IP address and browser details when a page loads.
5. How long we keep it
We keep newsletter details until you unsubscribe, and messages for as long as we need them to answer you and keep a reasonable record. After that we delete or anonymize them.
6. Your choices and rights
Every email we send has an unsubscribe link. You can also ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local law. To make a request, contact us.
7. Age requirement
The Site is for adults of legal drinking age: 21 or older in the United States. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, and the Site is served only over encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Where information is processed
The Site is operated from the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States or elsewhere.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date.
